Not impressed - truly don't understand all the great Google ratings? Way OVERPRICED, especially if you are bringing a group of people for a birthday party or something similar. Don't be fooled by the advertised "packages" that are included with yurt rentals. While the pricing is disclosed on their website, I feel the "early bird" advertised package we purchased ($275.00 - 2 nights, only 1 day of dreary activities) was obnubilated with the zip lines / challenge courses (with the "discounts" our group of 9 could pay an additional $495 to partake in the "real" challenge course or $360 for the "not so great, smaller, 6 line" zip line tour.) The small exposure that comes with the yurt packages is insignificant. To fully partake with a party of > 5 individuals, and to fully enjoy the site, plan on forking out $800 - $1000 (keep in mind, this excludes the cost of food to feed the members of your party.) The staff is comprised of young adults / older teenagers who, sadly, lack any sort of humor, are pompous and answer questions in a belittling manner. Truly, I don't think I would trust them with my loved one's lives in their hands; rather than sincerely worrying about the welfare of the customers and their safety, I believe they are only concerned with demonstrating their pseudo, self perceived state of authority and power. I would rate 0 stars if possible, but I guess I do need to account for the physical site itself. The location is nice and the yurts did accommodate my party nicely. The paint ball was the only satisfaction we received (after we paid an additional $45 for ammunition - after the discounts, full price was $135) and this was only accomplished because a group of customers were nice enough to supply my boys with their left over paint balls, which extended my boy's playing time. I can honestly say I tipped those generous customers, but I did not tip a single worker even though they post signs throughout the site. Would not recommend to parents with the mindset of enjoying an occasion or b-day party with their children and children's friends. Might be OK if you are paying for only yourself, or possibly a couple partaking, other than that - SAVE YOUR MONEY.

The camp was nice, very built and docile compared to wilderness. I went there zip lining, and the entire staff was kind except for one gal who went by Nacho. Like the other poor reviews, it seems that there is always a bad apple in a group of good employees. Immediately upon arriving, both my boyfriend and I got the vibe she was giving us the cold shoulder despite not even had spoken to her. Because we were zip lining, I was a little nervous - I hadn't done it before. At the end of the 6-line zip, I was pushed to the front to go first despite not wanting to, and waited until they yelled at each other confirmation that the other was ready. At this point, I jumped because that was what I had done for the previous 5 lines. I didn't know anything was wrong until halfway down the zip I spun around and saw the most hateful, despising, "are-you-stupid" look on her face. The guide at the bottom (who was wonderful by the way), was doing "party-time", which apparently means they use their weight to make you "jump" on the way down. I didn't know this however, and I honestly thought he was scrambling to make sure the zip stopped. There's only been a few times in my life I've been that terrified, and I didn't even know anything had gone "wrong" until three seconds before. Everything was fine, and the guy at the bottom talked me down from having a border-line panic attack. When my boyfriend came down, I asked him what went wrong, what did I do wrong, did I jump too early? He said no, everything was fine, I may have jumped a half a second too early, but it was okay. This gave me a little bit of consolation, however as the gal, Nacho, was unbuckling at the very end, and I tried to expressly apologize to her for messing up if I had. She didn't even look at me. I was completely ignored. I understand that this review is not helpful to understanding the grand scheme of the camp, however it may lend preparation towards your treatment by the staff.

It is a good chunk of money (to get a camping spot to pitch tents and stay three days/two nights it came out to about $135 or something. We had a party of 5 and coupons and passes to rock climbing, archery/axe throwing, and tickets to put towards the bigger attractions were included with the package. It was VERY much worth every penny. If he's still there, make sure to introduce yourself and the kids to Juggernaut, he's AWESOME and when he's around everyone has a grand time. The rest of the staff were friendly as well. Also, recommend going during the week if you can, weekends tend to be super packed whereas the week you have the camp pretty much to yourself. The Rockwall climbing is fun, and you can go as many times as you want for an hour after paying. The Little Foot is great for the kids, just make sure they're confident and brave enough, it can be daunting for the smaller children. The only thing is they ARE NOT very willing to cater to you in way of refund/trade. Make sure you're getting exactly what you want the first time, you most likely won't be able to switch anything afterwards. Other than that, this is an awesome camp if you're willing to spend some money.

awesome! Worth every penny! Live it!

Great place to take older kids. Unfortunately, their park packages don't match the descriptions online as when you arrive. Some of their rates for yurts are over priced and some of the attractions seem like money traps. Other than that it was mildly entertaining.

Camp Dakota is the best! Camp sites are big! I have been going back for 5 years now and have never been disappointed. They are always improving and adding things. It is
